Chocolate Banana Ice Cream

Perfect for the hot summer weather, or simply a treat all year round! Frozen banana makes the perfect no churn ice cream. Use greener bananas for a less dominant taste and add a little syrup if needed as they’ll be less sweet. We've added coconut milk powder for a super creamy flavoursome ice cream, but you can simply use bananas alone if necessary.
Here you have a chocolate option, but you could add fruits or vanilla powder to change up flavours as you wish. We also mixed in a few of the banana chunks unblended so they created a lovely contrast through the chocolate.
Recipe: Chocolate Banana Ice Cream
Serves 2
Ingredients:
- 2 chopped frozen bananas
- ¼ cup raw chocolate powder
- ½ cup coconut milk powder
- ½ cup warm water
- Sprinkle of cacao nibs or chopped nuts to decorate
Method:
Blend the coconut milk powder with the warm water until smooth. Mix all ingredients together in a high powered blender or food processor until smooth. Serve immediately as a soft serve ice cream dessert or spoon into a freezer dish and smooth the top before decorating with cacao nibs and/or nuts.
Freeze for an hour or so until solid.
Note: If freezing for longer, remove from the freezer approximately 15 minutes before serving to allow to soften slightly.
